Hotel shampoo is a gamble, and for frizz-prone hair it's usually a losing one. The 100ml Ultimate Smooth Shampoo is the one to pack, a smoothing cleanse that keeps your routine intact while you're away from your own bathroom.

It also makes a reasonable first purchase if you haven't used the range and want a few weeks with it before buying a full bottle.

Why You'll Love It

Small enough for the clear bag, so it travels in the cabin with you
Keeps frizz-prone hair behaving while you travel
Enough washes to trial the range properly
Light, smoothing cleanse that suits coarse or dry hair
Easy spare to keep in a gym bag or at the bach
Takes up no real room next to the rest of your toiletries

How to Use

Massage a small amount through wet hair and rinse. Follow with a conditioner, and if you're somewhere hot and humid, a mask once during the trip will do more than daily styling product.

A small bottle encourages sensible amounts. Most people use roughly twice as much shampoo as they need, which is worth knowing even when you get home.

About this Brand

Wella's smoothing range is the one to look at for frizz, coarseness and hair that goes its own way in humid weather. It's one of several systems the brand runs, each built around a different concern, and you can see the full Wella line-up here.

Professional Results. Without Leaving Home.

How many washes is 100ml?

Roughly 12 to 15 for medium-length hair as a guide, which covers a couple of weeks away.

Can I take it in hand luggage?

At 100ml it's right on the usual container limit for liquids in carry-on, so it just scrapes in. There's a cap on the total volume in your clear bag too, so check your airline's rules before you pack.

Is it worth buying as a trial?

It is. A couple of weeks of washing is enough to tell whether a smoothing shampoo suits your hair before you commit to the 250ml.

Will it handle a humid holiday?

It gives you a better starting point than whatever is in the hotel bathroom. Pair it with a conditioner or a mask, because humidity works on dryness and moisture is the counter.

Where can I find other travel sizes?

The Little Grails collection is minis, travel sizes and try-it formats, all $30 or less.

How long does shipping take?

1-2 day targeted delivery within Metro areas.
1-3 day targeted delivery for Rural areas.

There may be delays in receiving parcels during public holidays.
